Crunch Fitness - Arlington

I was hesitant on coming in to this gym due to the reviews given about the staff, but I went in myself and gave them a try. The gym was clean, the staff were welcoming and showed me around. They explain the policy’s very well before starting up a membership, and people just don’t seem to remember or act like victims when the employees correct the member. They are just following the rules. We are all humans and not perfect, but at least the gym is in perfect shape. I’m not here for the employees just the gym!

Every single time I come in and this woman is working the front desk she gives me a problem. All I want to do is come into the gym and have a good workout. With all the other people at the front desk I have no problem with them. They sign me in and send me on my way. They are very friendly and professional. However this woman always finds a reason to give me problems. Always giving me attitude snapping at me. The most unprofessional disrespectful woman I have ever dealt with at the desk. She makes the entire experience at this gym miserable. I could be having a good day and come in here to workout if she’s at the desk she ruins it. If there’s a problem she tries to make it as inconvenient as possible to fix. While the other employees have done whatever they could to make the problems better or at least help with a solution. She will not even attempt to help solve problems only make them worse. I don’t want to return to this gym anymore because of her. I loved coming to Crunch all the other employees make it a great experience. Just one awful employee makes this terrific gym experience and turns it into a nightmare. I would only come back if she wasn’t there.

I should have guessed this was going to be a bad choice from the beginning. Nothing is refundable even if services were not used (was sick and called to advise I wouldn't make it but was considered a no show still). You get hit with an annual fee almost immediately. Mine was hit in the second month. I tried cancelling my membership only to be told I have to be there at least 3 months. Wasn't told about a 30 day notice since I guess this is the same as having an apartment. Can't just cancel you have to pay another months fee up front (4 months total) and in person - but have no access through to the month you paid in ADVANCE for. So I was just auto charged Feb and now paid in person for March while I was told over the phone I would have access through to April but in person was told I only had until March. Yet I paid for march essentially in advance... So... What's the point of that? So basically you get charged for every little thing and get nothing but a gym with people who can't even clean after themselves. I've never been more stressed and LESS motivated to go to a gym before and I've been to a few. This was by far the worst.

If you have children DO NOT bring them into this gym. The child care is horrible usually they have one at most two staff watching over 40 kids. I went in today took my toddler there was only one person in charge of over 30 kids. Did not feel comfortable at all I’ve talked to two different managers multiple times no one seems to do anything. It’s time to look for a new gym.

This facility engages in predatory financial practices. When I wanted to get my training sessions cancelled after my trainer quit (Because of the treatment of trainers and members), I had to go in person only when the managing trainer is in. Which are inconveniently available. When I finally got to "cancel" my training, even signed for the cancellation, and was assured that it was finally canceled after I had asked for conformation, it was to no avail. For I was still being charged. When I finally got to speak to the managing trainer, again! I was told that there was no proof of cancellation and that I will still be continued to be charged indefinitely until my balance is in positive standing. At this point of the debt, there was no catching up. And the debt would continue to accumulate. All the mean time I am getting charged and still paying my monthly dues for gym access and are not allowed to use the facility. I'm not allowed to cancel. I would avoid this gym at all cost or it will cost you more than you bargain for!!!
